Solar Storm Radiation Dangerous To Human Space Exploration?

The Radiation Assessment Detector (RAD) aboard the Mars rover is collecting data while en route to the Red Planet. This will give important information of the effects of radiation from events such as solar storms on spacecraft and their contents.
